Ranger

just wanted to start a new series called Sights of SA....these will be mostly day to day things but sometimes they'll be cool ;)

This week it's our dog, Ranger. Named after THE TEXAS RANGERS. We love the Rangers and miss baseball almost as much as we do football. Most people in SA have a dog. Not only because they love dogs but because they are necessary for protection. Ranger came from the SPCA. I know, SPCA in Africa, who knew? I have never had a dog this smart, but must be because I had nothing to do with picking him out. I always seemed to pick the dumb dogs. This picture is of him looking at our new neighbors and their two little dogs. I am pretty sure he is thinking he can take them if he needs to. ;)

Exams

Exams started today for Matthew and Grace will start on Thursday. Here in SA they do exams like they do in the States for Grades 4 and up. Usually writing one a day, but today Matthew wrote two, Science and Art Theory. It depends on your subject choices and the way the schedule falls as to what exam you take when.

Hard to believe this year is almost over. Grace will start HIGH SCHOOL in Jan when we get back. MY BABY! Soon enough she'll be off and married having babies of her own. (tearing up as we speak).

Matthew is finishing 9th Grade and getting taller and taller. He is waiting for the day to be taller than his dad. :)

Please pray for the kids as they take exams. It's a long long long 3 weeks.
