Soccer Fever!!!

Soccer Fever!!

This this afternoon we were so thrilled to be a part of the World Cup 2010 Soccer Fever!! The country is electrified as the first World Cup comes to the African continent! People all over South Africa gather to watch Bafana Bafana (South Africa's team) play Mexico. South Africa was out ranked by almost 60 by Mexico. It is amazing to see a country so divided about many things, but coming together to support "our team"! We got together with friends at our church to see the opening ceremony and game on a big screen. It was so exciting to see Bafana score the first goal and stay ahead for quite a while. With the game tied we were able to get several shots off for goal, but came up short. We are very proud of our boys in yellow! They represented well. Tomorrow we are gathering again to watch USA (woohoo!!) and England. We, of course, will be supporting the USA and expecting our friends to as well! Many churches and Christian organizations are using this time of unity to gather and speak about Christ and show people the love of Christ. Do pray for us and South Africa during this time. Pray that we as believers would be open to share as we gather to watch,
