Oct/Nov 2010

October/November 2010
We are so thankful for all your
support and prayers over the last
days and weeks! We love hearing
from you through email, Facebook
and even letters!
Your support this month has
gone to support:
1. Bringing one of our leaders
from Zimbabwe here for further
teaching and mentoring from
David. This helps strengthen the
relationships between us and our
leaders.
2. Many phone conversations
with many of our other country
leaders such as Zambia, Botswana,
and Namibia.
3. For myself (Liz) to be able to
continue to volunteer at Arcon
Park Primary School. Continuing
to form stronger relationships
with the teachers and students.
4. For us to be able to purchase a
small used vehicle for the kids
and Liz to run around town. The
bakkie (truck) is great for rough
roads and going on long trips, but
it is heavy of fuel usage. We are
blessed to be able to have found
a reliable car!
5. My mom being able to visit
and us take some time off to enjoy
family being here and seeing
what we do and where we live.
PRAYER REQUEST
* VAC Camp is a huge camp that
J-Life runs in December. It’s
similar to Extreme Camp for
those from FBC McKinney..
* Praise report for David’s health.
He is continuing to grow in
strength and less headaches!!
* Pray for classmate of Grace and
Matthew- Tyron Warne as he
continues to fight cancer.
* Tarisayi, country leader in
Zimbabwe.

Mom

Ok, so funny story...I got my mom's itinerary a couple of months ago and save it waiting anxiously for the day for her to get here. Well, yesterday we load up and head to Joburg to the airport. It's about an hour away, similar to the drive from McKinney to DFW. We left at about 3:30pm and headed off into traffic...UGH! We get to the airport and check the Arrivals and the plane has landed just minutes before we arrived. Delta from Atlanta due in  at 5:05pm. YAY! They had landed a few minutes early, so we make our way up to the waiting area on International travelers. We wait...and wait...and wait. For an hour and a half for all the people to come out. You see there were eight international landings within a few minutes of each other so there were ALOT of people! Finally, a man walked up to the guy next to us that had been holding a sign. He was on the Delta flight and I asked him, "What took you so long and have you seen my mother?" He laughed and said no. He had been detained for some reason or another. Well, I text my sister who text back that my mother had just left for the airport...in Dallas. UGH! I am sure the itinerary said 2nd of November. It did, but with a small # mark next to it and way down below in the email stated that "#" meant arrival may be different than departure date...DUH. I feel like a crazy woman who stood there with her family for almost 2 hours waiting for someone who isn't arriving until today. Funny but wrong as we say....Oh well, we go back today with more anticipation and excitement for my mom's arrival!! Can't wait to show her our life here. Love you mom!!
