David Namibia
ALL OUT AFRICA 2012
Pretty sure I don't know how it got to be August and I haven't had an official update letter in several months. Well, I guess we've been busy, but no excuses...
David has officially entered his "season of travel' starting with his trip to Namibia last month. He was grateful to meet up with our youth from FBC McKinney and our J-Life Country leader Patrick Britz. It was SO great to have our two worlds combine for a week of service. David had a wonderful time seeing his old friend Grant (just testing if he really reads these things...). I've had many comments from friends this side of the world about how much they look alike. It makes me laugh! What a blessing it was for our youth to come to Africa and work in Namibia. I know hearts were changed both sides of the Atlantic!
Friends Face to Face
These last couple of months we got to meet friends face to face. You see, the Petro family are friends of friends and are serving with IMB in Africa. They are currently in Joburg temporarily waiting their permanent assignment. It was great finally meet face to face instead of just Facebook friends from a connection of some sort or another. This happens often with us and I am guessing with other missionaries.

McBrides
Of course many of you know the McBrides who are serving with LifeSong Orphanages in Zambia. They became a part of FBC McKinney after we began serving in South Africa. So, again, under not the best of circumstances for the McBrides, we got to meet. It was also great to connect face to face and be able to help them  out while Katye Grace was being treated and assessed for malaria. We are so thankful that all the results were positive and the Lord's protection is over little Katye Grace.
