Okay, today I stayed home with Matthew because he was sick. David had to go to Joburg. So the lady that works at our house, Mable, was visibly upset. Normally she sings and almost dances around the house. So I knew something was wrong. I asked her if she was ok. She began to cry and say she was pregnant. This will be her fourth child. She asked me through her tears, "What do I do? What do I do?"

Knowing that her last child, who is now 2 and 1/2, was a big surprise and financially hard. She works hard to provide for them, but the reality is that a fourth child is just too much, financially. As we hugged and cried together, we talked for a bit and through tears she said she didn't know what to do. Whether to keep, give away or abort the baby. Sad to say this is not an abnormal thought or question for most young black women in Africa. My heart wanted to say just have it and give it to someone, anyone, me,  but knowing this was not a situation with a quick answer, I said, "Mable we need to pray for wisdom." So we prayed. I do not believe in abortion and she doesn't either but she's in almost a desperate situation. My heart goes out to her knowing she wants the best for her children, the three she has and the one on the way. 


When Mable left today, there was no answer spoken, but the knowledge the Lord would show her the way.  Grace , mercy, peace and wisdom I pray for Mable. Please join me in praying too!
