Packing

Well folks, we think today is the day! As you see by the photo, we were about half way through filling our 6x6x5.5 ft spot in our garage. We managed to fit quite a bit of necesities in 200 cubic feet of space, which is quite expensive to ship to South Africa. I will take pics later as the process continues. The plan is that the company gets here and crates our stuff and then takes it away. You begin to realize we have way to much stuff we don't need and can live off just 1/4 of what we really have.

Leasing

We now have our house on the market for lease. And it does appear that I am using my children as a marketing tool because they are so cute, but I am really not. They just thought it would be cool to be in the picture and psychologically it would help in them "helping mom". Or something like that. Anyway, if you DO know anyone in the market for a cute 4 bedroom house in a great quiet neighborhood you should let them know.

Shipping

I should know by now that this whole "africa thing" is bigger than anything "we" could imagine. Just take the whole shipping of your stuff. Simple enough. Ha! That's what you and I thought. You have to first figure out what to pack (and I thought that was the hard part.) Then comes the figuring out the cubic feet and volume not weight, blah blah blah.... Oh my, I now see why moving to South Africa is a "God thing" and eternally I will be learning that we are not in control and He knows everything and His timing is never late or early....

Brookie Cookie

I am choosing pink because this is Brookie, my niece's favorite color. She and my sister are in Atlanta, GA this week having more test done. You see, she has a muscular dystrophy disease that they aren't sure fits into one category or another. She is ten years old and is a wonderful, smart and funny girl. She is amazingly strong. We pray for her strength and her mom's strength too. They will be home Sunday, not soon enough....
